That place is probably one of the tourist attractions in West Papua that you need to visit. Its beautiful and also charming nature will surely amaze you. It is probably the biggest waterway national park that exists in Southeast Asia. In this national park, you also could find five islands that are fun for you to explore.

1. Mioswaar Island
If you are interested in unique natural phenomena, Mioswaar Island is the perfect place. Here, you can find hot spring splashes where there are no active tectonic volcanoes in the vicinity. No wonder this place is very popular amongst geologists all over the world.
In addition, there is also a deep sea with a depth of 1000-2000 meters. It is definitely not common because the distance is only around 20 meters from the coastal area. The shape is like a lake in the middle of the sea, which is unique and impressive.

2. Nusrowi Island
The island of Nusrowi is probably one of the perfect snorkeling spots in West Papua. It is because there are shallow waters that hold a lot of charming coral and various types of fish here. So, you can enjoy the corals while swimming freely with the beautiful ornamental fishes.
Aside from that, you could also do scuba diving. However, if you don’t feel like getting into the water, you can just take a walk on the beach or go fishing. This is because Nusrowi Island has many marine commodities such as grouper and lobster.
3. Roon Island
If you want to trace Christian trails in Papua, then Roon Island is one of the places that you must visit. This is because you can find an ancient bible here. The bible was published at the end of the 19th century in 1898. You can find it in an old church in Yende Village.
Besides, you can also find the unique settlements of the Yende people that are above the water. Then, you can also dive, see deer, and go birdwatching on Roon Island.
4. Rumberpon Island
Aside from those three islands, Rumberpon Island is also a must-visit place for you. Especially for those of you who like coral reefs. It is because Rumberpon Island is one of the coral reefs paradises in West Papua. Here, you can find the expanse of world-class coral reefs that grow around this island.
Because it has so many corals, it is not surprising that there is a lot of marine biota on Rumberpon Island. Starting from endemic fish, turtles, dugongs, etc. So, it is a shame if you’re not scuba dive or snorkeling in this place. Apart from that, you can also try water skiing or windsurfing.
5. Yoop Island
Then, there is Yoop Island, which you can visit if you love mythology. Because here you find a magic stone that locals believe predicts your future. The name of the stone is Batu Jodoh. With this stone, you can predict whether your future plans will be successful or not.
You lift the stone to see it. If you can do that, then your plan will succeed. Aside from that, you could see whales and dolphins and also do birdwatching here. You probably could not miss it when visiting Cenderawasih Bay National Park.
